Get all the perks of new construction (newer systems, modern space planning) without the hassles (construction delays, uncertainty and punch lists that may or may not get completed)–built in 2009, this Manayunk house has had one owner, but looking at it, you’d almost never know it was occupied. It has been meticulously maintained. The ground floor consists of an extra-wide one-car garage (with plenty of room for storage or a workshop) and a partially finished basement area that is currently outfitted as a home gym. The garage is fronted by a driveway that provides an additional off-street parking space. Above the garage/basement level is the first floor, which can be entered via stairs from the street or the basement. It’s hard not to overuse the word “large” when describing this house. None of the rooms is less than 16 feet wide, and the ceilings are 9 feet high throughout (yes, even in the basement). Despite it’s large size, the house is very efficient due to its dual-zone HVAC system. With hardwood floors, granite counters, stainless steel appliances, a thoughtful layout, and a “just right” location (i.e., a short walk to the amenities of Main Street and all of the transportation options in Manayunk, but not so close that noise is ever a problem), this home is truly a great value, especially at this price point.
